A new translation of the Noble Quran in Urdu will be released during the 19th International Holy Quran Exhibition in Tehran.
According to a report by the press center of the exhibition, the rendering by Seyyed Abul A’al Mawdudi and Sheikh Muhammad Ali Najafi has been published in one volume. The two are Muslim scholars from the Indian subcontinent.
The report said that four specialized forums are planned to be held at the exhibition discussing translation of the Quran and Islamic texts. “Tehran University professor Azartash Azarnush will be the speaker at one of the forums titled “Language of the Quran and the Question of Quran Translation.”
Another forum titled “Importance and Status of Persian Translation of Tabari Quran Exegesis” will be addressed by Ali Ashraf Sadeghi.
The translation section of the 19th International Quran Exhibition will also feature showcasing Quran translations in different languages and the activities of the Tarjoman-e Vahy (translation of revelation) Institute.
